We've been asked some questions of late, not frequently, but enough to share some answers!
Why is everything reduced so heavily in price, are you winding up?
NO! We're here to stay. It's just everything had kind of ground to a halt sales wise, and we'd rather supporters get to enjoy what we do rather than have books and magazines sitting in a warehouse. We're nice like that! Since reducing the cover prices we've had a nice little peak in interest again.
Will there be another Watford Treasury magazine?
This is something we discuss every time we get together! We know people think highly of it, and it is something we are immensely proud to have produced, however... after 10 volumes we figure it's covered what we intended it to. But never say never!
Will there be more books coming out?
YES! We have a couple of projects in motion, although nothing imminent for publishing. One of them will be quite 'niche', in that it goes further back than any of our other titles have, whilst another will be filling that glaring hole in the 'decades' range of books (I'll say no more!)
Why is our postage so expensive?
This is something we are acutely aware of. The Royal Mail rates have become extremely expensive, but where possible we want to avoid the 'cut price' couriers. With the books we only need to pack more than two, and it goes above the 2kg rate, and costs the same as sending 10kg-worth of stuff. Hopefully the reduction in cover prices will off-set some of that pain, but really it's the world we now live in.
Are you going to do the mugs and T Shirts again?
If the artistic muse visits and offers us something that can't be got elsewhere than yes. However, there's nothing in the pipeline just yet.
