We're really pleased to announce that The Watford Treasury is publishing our first ever photo-book, Golden Shots and Visions of Blue.
Presented in A5 landscape format this visually stunning hardback book will consist of 144 pages featuring colourised images from the 1950s and 60s. Many taken from the original Watford Observer glass plates which are now residing at Watford Museum.
Golden Shots and Visions of Blue will offer readers not just the chance to see previously monochrome photos relating to Watford Football Club brought to life with colour, but also get a real feel of what life was like following the club over half a century ago.
This unique publication will be available from the 8 November, although can pre-ordered now, and will be available form the Hornets Shop in Vicarage Road and through thewatfordtreasury.com. Priced at £15, a proportion of proceeds will be donated to the Watford FC Trust Golden Memories project, which works with people with dementia in the local area. 25 books will also be donated to the project to use as they wish.
