The Golden Shots...book launch/Treasury get-together at the Mad Squirrel last night proved to be a wonderful evening.
Joining us, and we were truly honoured that they did, were Watford veterans of Blue and Yellow Peter Walker and Walter Lees, who both featured in the book. We were pleased to present them both with a complimentary copy as well as framed prints featuring themselves.
Jon Moonie from From the Rookery End hosted a chat with Colin and Geoff, with Colin talking about the process used to colourise the photographs, whilst Geoff offered historical insight into the images.
A nice quantity of books were purchased and the guests appeared to have an enjoyable evening.
A massive thanks to everyone who came, Jon for doing such a sterling job, Paul Vincent for taking the photos, June for 'manning' the merch stall, and all the guys at the Mad Squirrel, it's easy to see why it's becoming the venue of choice for Watford get-togethers!
